Group learning
I have extensive experience with group facilitation - my career in youth work began with eight years spent working as an educator, focusing on equity and anti-oppression workshops for school groups from kindergarten all the way to post secondary.
I also have a background teaching knitting courses in a local yarn store (LYS), for groups and for individuals.
I do not have a base price for group classes - this heavily depends on costs for space, registration, materials, etc. The best way to figure out cost for my time is to contact me directly so we can discuss options that work for both of us!
I am comfortable leading classes in a wide range of skill levels, including but not limited to:
- Intro to knitting
- Knitting in the round (hats, fingerless mitts, socks)
- Intro to sweaters (both seamless and seamed, including finishing)
- Cables (from simple crosses to Aran sweaters)
- Lace (and how to keep the math working)
- Colourwork (stranded, mosaic, intarsia)
- Pattern comprehension and utilizing charts
